CORPORATE

Community Servings takes corporate volunteering to a new level. Through one-time volunteer opportunities, service days, and our adopt-a-shift program, corporate volunteers play a profound and meaningful role in the lives of our 1,450 sick and hungry clients.

Our corporate volunteers prepare and package meals in our kitchen, deliver meals to our clients, assist with our special events, and help in our offices with administrative tasks. They are members of a special group of caring folks who come from all walks of life and live throughout our 215 square mile service area.

The minute that corporate volunteer teams walk through our doors, they are greeted by a friendly and professional staff, given an orientation on safe food handling and put to work in meal production.  Volunteers are our lifeblood so our kitchen is ready to use teams of motivated individuals efficiently and quickly.

Corporations and businesses that have sent teams of volunteers to Community Servings include AGAR, Bank of America, BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts, Boloco, Chubb, FedEx and Hub International.  All report that volunteering in our kitchen is one of their best experiences, with staff members eager to sign up and participate.

Benefits of Corporate Volunteering:

  • Volunteering at Community Servings engages staff members in new tasks and team-building.
  • Volunteers build leadership skills that they can later use in the workplace
  • Volunteers have a positive experience at Community Servings, where their time is thoughtfully used and they are welcomed by a friendly and instructive staff
