Pie in the Sky 2012 : Pie Seller 101
Thank you for your interest in becoming a pie seller! Sellers are a huge part of what makes Pie in the Sky a success. Every year during our annual bake sale 500 amazing volunteers sell 15,000 pies to friends, family and co-workers. Because of their hard work we are able to raise a half a million dollars to feed the critically ill. Every pie you sell will feed one of our clients for a week. The Secret ingredient is you!

Steps for becoming a Pie Seller
Step 1. Sign-up!
Sell as an individual or as a team. Sign up online or by calling 617-522-7777

Step 2. Create your "Pie Seller Page"
Once you've signed up to be a seller, log-in to update your personai "Pie Seller Page". From there you can customize you page by setting a goal, writing a personal statement, adding a photo and tracking your sales. You can also send e-cards with direct links to your pie seller page and create your own personal URL!

Step 3. Kick off the Pie sale at a Party!
Join us at the Pie Seller Kickoff Party on Wednesday, October 17th. While enjoying complimentary cocktails and lite bites, we'll be gearing you up for pie selling! Receive promotional materials, chat with other sellers for selling tips and ask Community Servings' staff any questions you may have.
Step 4. Sell, Sell, Sell
From October through Thanksgiving take orders from friends, family neighbors and coworkers. Keep in mind that each pie costs $25, an amount that provides an entire week of nutritious, home-delivered meals to a person who is too sick to shop or cook for themselves.
Step 5. Promote Different Ways to Place Orders
There are three ways to buy a pie...

Step 6. Where are pies picked up?
Pies are picked up the day before Thanksgiving, on November 21st at over 50 pickup locations across Eastern Massachusetts. Checkout the closest pickup site to you!

The concept is simple but the results are truly life changing- Each $25 pie you sell will help Community Servings provide a weeks' worth of home-delivered mea ls to a neighbor struggling with a crit ica l illness.
Fundraising transparency:
Over 90 cents of every dollar raised will be used to provide hearty and comforting meals and nutrition services to a client who is too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Learn more about Community Servings at www.servings.org.
