Thank you for supporting the 22nd annual Pie in the Sky!
Have a happy and healthy holiday season!

Pie in the Sky 2014 : Holiday Spirit Inspires us All!

The holiday season is an inspiring (and busy!) time here at Community Servings.ᅠDuring the fall and winter months, we deliver lavish Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to our clients and their families, coordinate the Holiday Gift Basket program which provides gifts for our sick clients and their children and produce Pie in the Sky - our Thanksgiving pie sale. All of this on top of our regular programs, including preparing 775 mealsᅠeach day!

With such a hectic schedule, we are so grateful to have hundreds of wonderful volunteers who generously lend a hand every holiday season. This year, consider starting a holiday tradition of your own by helping us touch the lives of individuals and families living with a critical illness.

Pie in the Sky - Until November 19, 2011 - The 19th Annual, Pie in the Sky involved more than 150 of Greater Boston's restaurants, hotels, caterers and bakeries who donated Thanksgiving pies. Over 600 volunteers sold more than 13,000 pies which raised $525,000. Each pie costs $25, an amount which provides an entire weeks worth home-delivered meals to a Community Servings client. Visit www.pieinthesky.org for more information.

Holiday BasketsSign up is now open. Basket drop off is December 10-13th - Volunteer basket makers bring warm clothes, basic necessities, and holiday treats to our clients and their families. With over 85% of our clients living at or below the federal poverty line, much of our clients' limited income is needed to cover health care and prescription costs leaving little for basic necessities. With help from 400 volunteers, we deliver overstuffed baskets full of our clients wishlist items to brighten their holiday season. Contact Ashley Boyd at aboyd@servings.org or 617-522-7777 to sign up. Click here for more information.

Holiday Meal DeliveryVolunteer dates are November 23rd and December 23rd - Every November and December, our kitchen prepares lavish holiday meals for our clients. Volunteers help package and deliver oven fresh turkey, stuffing, pot roast, macaroni and cheese, pumpkin pie and a mouthwatering dessert. For our clients who live alone, a visit from a volunteer bearing a home-style meal and a smile reminds them of what the holidays are all about. Contact Ashley Boyd at aboyd@servings.org or 617-522-7777 to sign up.

Holiday Drives - Now through December 23rd - From October to December, we hold donation drives here at Community Servings to supplement items in the holiday baskets. We collect socks, gloves, scarves, hats, canned goods, lines, and cleaning products. Contact Ashley Boyd at aboyd@servings.org or 617-522-7777 for more info.
