CORPORATIONS

Corporate partners are a cornerstone of Community Servings' support. We recognize that effective partnerships with corporate and foundation funders is essential to our success and ability to carry out our mission. Corporations give generously to help us feed our sick and hungry neighbors through grants and sponsorship of our special events. They also give generously of their time and talent by sending volunteers to lend a hand in our kitchen or on our delivery vans through our "Adopt-A-Shift" program or by volunteering on one of our committees.

Below is a partial list of our corporate partners:

Funder Profile

The State Street Foundation has been a long time partner of Community Servings. In 2000, the foundation began supporting our home-delivered meals program to the critically ill. In 2002, the foundation became a corporate sponsor of our annual LifeSavor fundraising event and has continued to support this event for the past eight years. In 2007 and 2008, the foundation expanded its partnership with us to support our capital campaign for our state-of-the-art nutrition facility. The foundations support during this time also included a significant programming investment, which enabled Community Servings to hire a second bi-lingual Client Services Coordinator. Long-term, this has created a robust Nutrition and Client Services department to better meet the growing needs of our clients, nearly 20% of whom are Spanish-speaking. In 2009, the foundation began supporting our Teaching Kitchen food-service job-training program, which leverages our core skills and expertise to provide a unique job-training program for populations that are struggling with poverty and hunger. With the support of the State Street Foundation, we have been better able to meet the growing needs for our meal service to the very ill and provide the skills, training and hands-on experience that other community members need to secure employment and end their own cycle of hunger and poverty.
